meishi card.
03 30th, 2009My meishi business cards arrived this morning.
It has the call girl quality as on its back side it says “always call”
with a little heart followed by my contact details in pink glossy text.
Front side is the glossy flirty heart on mat pink background. I think
this card has more chance to be remembered rather than just lines
of plain texts telling general information. Always call *heart*…
Why not! Let’s give her a call!
NR’s love for Osaka.

???? (To Osaka, Japan) from Nicholas Ridley on Vimeo.
“One may have supposed up until now that the very nature of ones own existence was in some way unique or perhaps “purposeful”. Do you look in the mirror when combing your hair and say “I am more special than the common Joe”. Well let me assure you that the journey featured in this motion picture is one way to dispel any such notion of self righteousness. The industrial sprawl, alleys ad infinitum and subterranean walkways silently exclaim one’s own existence as simply a minute portion of time within the Bellus Astrum.
Welcome to the mysterious orient. Welcome to Osaka Made.
Presented by Ridley Film Productions in glorious Super8 format with Dolby Stereo. Soundtrack provided by The Cascading Strings.”

band thing.
03 18th, 2009Today I realized that I haven’t uploaded my band shoot exercise video with Saevio from last year.
So here it is. A little clip for their myspace band website. Partly it is a sequence from my MA film.
Instead of having a crew with at least 3 - 4 cameras + recording sound separately, I did it with 1 camera by myself and decided to forget about the sound recording (I was going to use pre-recorded demo sound, ended up using the bad quality sound. It was matching with the main sequence of my MA film.)

aint no need to go outside.
03 11th, 2009For the last 3 days I hadn’t been outside. But I did today. Finally loo rolls had run out. It was cold but fresh felt like I was so alive and I know this clearly sounded stupid. Get out and work! I’m trying. Sorting things out, one by one.
It seems Home Office’s visa application documents are full of contradictions. But then somebody who pointed out Home Office document is wrong (only partly) sent me an official letter and there was a mistake too. I guess end of the day UK Border Agency is something to trust, and others are just some information. I don’t mind as long as I can secure my new visa. I’ll all happy.
I found this lovely animation which I think more people show watch. Very cute.
Oh by the way I uploaded some pictures from my Japan winter trip 2008/2009. Even made a page specially!

“capital G” video
01 17th, 2009“capital G” is a short and simple documentary that explores what God means to us. I wouldn’t think majority of people know what it means. I interviewed interesting people from different (religious) fields to find out about the fact of God existence. Then I found my own answer to the question. How you interepret it is up to you. But it’s worth listening to what these people say as all the ideas and beliefs are varied. It gives you options to your thoughts, and simply stimulate your curiosity mildly. What is God? Do you know the answer? Or is there such a thing as the answer which is universal to all of us? Well, I think there is.
*note - I am 25 years old and at this moment I think I found the answer.
Please have a look and feel free to leave comments. I’d really appreciate if you did.
